Clearly Ahead Development does not offer training seminars and workshops, but Clearfield County has entities that will.  Listed below are two major training providers that service Clearfield County.  If you need help in searching for specific training providers:  

Clarion University Small Business Development Center:

The Clarion University SBDC offers a variety of seminars and business skills workshops to the small business community, including marketing, human resources, bookkeeping, taxes, business planning, business succession, QuickBooks, social networking, financial management, and leadership. These seminars are designed to educate potential business owners, business owners, and managers on issues influencing business success. North Central Workforce Development (CareerLink):

The Workforce Development Operations, funded primarily with resources from the Departments of Labor & Industry, Welfare and Education, provide for a comprehensive mix of services of employ and re-employ dislocated and disadvantaged individuals throughout our region.  Services are part of the CareerLink® System and are driven by labor market based Consortia consisting of employers, educational representatives, faith based groups, and many others.  Consistent with our mission of improving the quality of life, North Central Workforce Development makes a significant contribution by delivering training services to our customers; the Region’s workforce and employer community.  Our goal is to improve the productivity, profitability and competitiveness of our regions’ employers by supplying “job ready” employees.

Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC):

Located in Clearfield, PA, CCCTC is a technical institute founded in 1969.  CCCTC provides quality educations for youths and adults to prepare them for success in the workplace, post-secondary, and the community.  They serve roughly 400 secondary students annually in fifteen technology programs.  Over 900 adults register annually in courses and programs.  

CCCTC has the availability of trained certified instructors in areas from math to electronics to OSHA instruction.  The Department of Education has approved these programs for secondary and adult students:

  • Carpentry and Building Construction
  • Masonry and Building Construction
  • Architectural Drafting & Design

Besides workforce training programs, Clearfield County is home to quality high schools and universities.  Clearfield County also resides in close proximity of major universities that Clearly Ahead has worked with.  Clearfield County is within 45 minutes of the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) that is a nationally known university known for their quality engineering and agriculture degrees.  Within Clearfield County, we have a PSU branch campus in DuBois, PA.  PSU-DuBois offers many degrees and training programs as well.  In Clearfield, we have the Lock Haven University of Clearfield Branch Campus known for their Nursing program.  DuBois also offers the DuBois Business College, which is one of the oldest business colleges in Pennsylvania.
